TRAVEL ADVISORY – ROCKLAND COUNTY: RAMP FROM ROUTE 17 TO SOUTHBOUND I-87 TO CLOSE OVERNIGHT MONDAY

Ramp Leading to Thruway Will Close at 11 p.m. for Maintenance Activities

Detour to Access Southbound I-87 Is Half Mile Away

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the ramp from southbound Route 17 in Sloatsburg leading to the southbound Thruway (I-87) will close overnight Monday, Aug. 8, from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. Tuesday to facilitate maintenance activities.

Motorists should follow the posted detour on Route 17 for approximately half a mile and then turn right on Old Route 17 to access the on-ramp at exit 15A (Sloatsburg - Suffern - NY Routes 17 North & 59). A Variable Message Sign will be activated ahead of the work zone to alert motorists of the closure and detour.

All work is weather dependent and subject to change. The rain date is Tuesday, Aug. 9.
