TRAVEL ADVISORY – ROCKLAND COUNTY: RAMP FROM ROUTE 17 TO SOUTHBOUND I-87 TO CLOSE OVERNIGHT TONIGHT
Ramp Leading to Thruway Will Close at 11 p.m. for Maintenance Activities
Detour to Access Southbound I-87 Is Half Mile Away

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the ramp from southbound Route 17 in Sloatsburg leading to the southbound Thruway (I-87) will close overnight tonight from 11 p.m. until 7 a.m. Thursday to facilitate maintenance activities.

Motorists should follow the posted detour on Route 17 for approximately half a mile and then turn right on Old Route 17 to access the on-ramp at exit 15A (Sloatsburg - Suffern - NY Routes 17 North & 59). A Variable Message Sign will be activated ahead of the work zone to alert motorists of the closure and detour.

All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
