TRAVEL ADVISORY – WESTCHESTER COUNTY: SOUTHBOUND I-87 EXIT 1 ON-RAMP IN YONKERS TO CLOSE OVERNIGHT ON TUESDAY

Ramp Leading to Thruway Will Close at 11:30 p.m. for Maintenance Activities

Detour to Access Southbound I-87 Is Half Mile Away

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the southbound Thruway (I-87) exit 1 on-ramp (Hall Place - McLean Avenue) in Yonkers will close overnight on Tuesday, Aug. 2, from 11:30 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day for maintenance activities.

Motorists should follow the posted detour on Central Park Avenue for approximately half a mile to the next entrance ramp to the southbound I-87/Major Deegan Expressway. A Variable Message

Sign will be activated ahead of the work zone to alert motorists of the closure and detour.

All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
