TRAVEL ADVISORY – ORANGE COUNTY: SURVEYING WORK NEAR NORTHBOUND THRUWAY EXIT 16 TO REQUIRE BRIEF OVERNIGHT TRAFFIC STOPS ON TUESDAY
Traffic Stops Will Begin After 11 P.M., Lasting Approximately 10 Minutes Each
Several Traffic Stops Expected
The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that survey work near northbound Thruway (I-87) exit 16 (Harriman - US Route 6 - NY Route 17) in Woodbury will necessitate multiple overnight traffic stops on Tuesday, May 31. The traffic stops will begin after 11 p.m., lasting approximately 10 minutes each.
The traffic stops will allow workers to safely survey sections of roadway for an upcoming pavement improvement project. The rain date is Wednesday, June 1.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
Variable Message Signs will be activated ahead of the work zone to alert motorists. Motorists may wish to seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
