TRAVEL ADVISORY – ROCKLAND COUNTY: NORTHBOUND THRUWAY EXIT 15 OFF-RAMP TO NEW JERSEY TO CLOSE OVERNIGHT NEXT WEEK
Northbound Exit 15 Off-Ramp Will Close at Night for Pavement Repairs in New Jersey
Northbound Motorists Should Follow Posted Detour to Access I-287 or Route 17 in New Jersey

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the northbound Thruway (I-87) exit 15 off-ramp to New Jersey (I-287 - NJ Route 17 South) will close overnight next week, starting Tuesday, May 31, for concrete pavement repairs in New Jersey. The southbound I-87 exit 15 off-ramp will also be reduced to one lane of traffic at night.

Here is the schedule, weather permitting and subject to change:

• Tuesday, May 31, to Thursday, June 2: Northbound off-ramp closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day.
• Friday, June 3: Northbound off-ramp closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday.

Northbound motorists seeking to access I-287 or Route 17 in New Jersey should follow the posted detour to exit 15A (Sloatsburg - Suffern - NY Routes 17 North & 59) to enter the southbound

Thruway via Orange Turnpike and Old Route 17. Variable Message Signs have been activated ahead of the work zone to alert motorists of the closure and detour.
All work is weather permitting and subject to change.
