TRAVEL ADVISORY – ROCKLAND COUNTY: NORTHBOUND THRUWAY EXIT 15 OFF-RAMP TO NEW JERSEY TO CLOSE OVERNIGHT NEXT WEEK
Northbound Exit 15 Off-Ramp Will Close at Night from Monday to Wednesday for Pavement Repairs in New Jersey
Northbound Motorists Should Follow Posted Detour to Access I-287 or Route 17 in New Jersey
The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the northbound Thruway (I-87) exit 15 off-ramp to New Jersey (I-287 - NJ Route 17 South) will close overnight on Monday, May 23, through Wednesday, May 25, for concrete pavement repairs in New Jersey. The northbound off-ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day. The southbound I-87 exit 15 off-ramp will also be reduced to one lane of traffic at night.
Northbound motorists seeking to access I-287 or Route 17 in New Jersey should follow the posted detour to exit 15A (Sloatsburg - Suffern - NY Routes 17 North & 59) to enter the southbound Thruway via Orange Turnpike and Old Route 17. Variable Message Signs have been activated ahead of the work zone to alert motorists of the closure and detour.
