Northbound Exit 15 Off-Ramp Will Close at Night for Pavement Repairs in New Jersey

Northbound Motorists Should Follow Posted Detour to Access I-287 to New Jersey

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the northbound Thruway (I-87) exit 15 off-ramp to New Jersey (I-287 - NJ Route 17 South) will close overnight next week, starting Monday, April 11, for concrete pavement repairs in New Jersey. The southbound I-87 exit 15 off-ramp will also be reduced to one lane of traffic at night.

Here is the schedule, weather permitting and subject to change:

  • Monday, April 11, to Wednesday, April 13: Northbound off-ramp closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day.

Northbound motorists seeking to access I-287 or Route 17 in New Jersey should follow the posted detour to exit 15A (Sloatsburg - Suffern - NY Routes 17 North & 59) to enter the southbound Thruway via Orange Turnpike and Old Route 17. Variable Message Signs have been activated ahead of the work zone to alert motorists of the closure and detour.
