PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION FOR PINE HILL ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT OVER THRUWAY (I-87) IN WOODBURY (ORANGE COUNTY) TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, MAY 20

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that it will hold a public information session regarding the replacement of the Pine Hill Road bridge over the New York State Thruway (I-87) in the Town of Woodbury from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. The project is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2026.

Built in 1953, the bridge is at the end of its service life and will be replaced with a new structure. Safety improvements on the new bridge will include replacing the deteriorating bridge deck, steel, and substructure, widening its shoulders, installing new bridge fencing, and increasing the vertical clearance over the Thruway by more than two feet to 16 feet 6 inches to enhance safety.

Information boards will be displayed during the public information session, and representatives from the Thruway Authority will be available to answer questions about the project.
