ADVISORY: THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES LIVE PUBLIC AUCTION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY ADJACENT TO EXIT 57 (HAMBURG) IN ERIE COUNTY

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced a live public auction will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 for a more than 15-acre parcel of real property which is located directly across from the New York State Thruway (I-90) exit 57 (Hamburg) interchange along NY Route 75 (Camp Road) in the Town of Hamburg, Erie County.

The parcel of land is the former location of the exit 57 interchange bridge. It was removed in 2018 as part of a $4.5 million renovation project which included the removal of the Thruway bridge over Camp Road (NY Route 75) and the creation of a road-level T-intersection with a traffic light.

The minimum bid for the property is $4,965,000.

*Registration period for prospective bidders is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the in-person auction will begin promptly at 10 a.m. Bidders or their authorized representative(s) must register and be present to bid. The sale and subsequent closing is contingent upon approval by the New York State Office of the Attorney General and the Comptroller.
