THRUWAY AUTHORITY INVITES WESTERN NEW YORKERS TO CASHLESS TOLLING OUTREACH EVENT AT WESTERN NY WELCOME CENTER WEDNESDAY, MAY 15 

Event to Highlight Transition to Cashless Tolling on NYS Thruway by the End of 2020 

Thruway Authority Staff Available to Address E-ZPass and Cashless Tolling Questions, Provide Personalized Account Assistance for E-ZPass Customers, Toll Bills, Violations and More 

Customers Encouraged to Sign Up for an Appointment  

The New York State Thruway Authority invites Western New Yorkers to a Cashless Tolling Customer Outreach Event which will include personalized customer service for individuals regarding their E-ZPass and Tolls by Mail accounts, opportunities for customers to sign up for E-ZPass, and information will be available on the conversion to cashless tolling on the entire Thruway by the end of 2020. Customers can call or email in advance to schedule appointments and walk-in appointments will be permitted the day of the event.

*The Welcome Center is accessible from the Niagara Thruway (I-190) at exit 19 (Whitehaven Road) via Alvin Road.

**Customers should be prepared to provide as much account information as possible, including name, address, phone number, license plate #, E-ZPass/Tolls by Mail account # or violation #, and description of issue** 

Customers are encouraged to make an appointment for individual, personalized assistance from a Thruway Authority Representative. Personnel will be able to address: 

  • Tolls By Mail accounts 
  • Toll bill payment options
  • Violations resulting from unpaid toll bills
  • Updating E-Pass account information
  • Obtaining new E-ZPass Tags
  • Signing up for Mobile Alerts
  • And more 

At the event, customers will also be able to sign up for E-ZPass, the easiest and most convenient way to pay tolls on the Thruway and 16 states across the country. 

The event will also provide customers with information on the transition to cashless tolling on the New York State Thruway’s ticketed system, including the Williamsville and Lackawanna Toll Barriers and the entire Thruway mainline (I-90) in the Western NY region.
