Public Information Session for North Main Street (NYS Route 46) Bridge Replacement Project Over Thruway (I-90) In Oneida (Madison County) To Be Held on Tuesday, August 19

The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that it will hold a public information session regarding the replacement of the North Main Street (NYS Route 46) bridge over the New York State Thruway (I-90) in the City of Oneida from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. The project is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2026. 

Built in 1954, the bridge is at the end of its service life and will be replaced with a new structure. Safety improvements on the new bridge will include widening its shoulders to 8-feet, increasing vertical clearance, installing new bridge railing and improving the riding surface.

Information boards will be displayed during the public information session, and representatives from the Thruway Authority will be available to answer questions about the project.
