This is the New York State Thruway Regional Advisory message for Syracuse. OK, it's traffic time Currently, there are no traffic reports And now a rundown of the scheduled construction projects on the New York State Thruway, for the Central New York, Syracuse region, for the week ending, June 21st.
Pavement Striping between Syracuse, Interchange 39, and Weedsport, Interchange 40, will require east, and westbound lane closures, from 8am until 2pm, Monday through Thursday.
And now for some public service announcements Motorists are advised that I-690 West, is closed at I-81 North, in the City of Syracuse. To avoid delays, Thruway travelers should remain on the Thruway, to Exit 39, back to I-690. Motorists on I-690 West, and I-81 North, and South, should also consider using the Thruway to Exit 39, to avoid delay.
The New York State Thruway would like to remind motorist that construction, and maintenance personnel will be working along the entire length of the Thruway, performing routine, and scheduled construction work.
Motorist should use caution when traveling through construction zones, and obey all posted work zone speed limits. For your safety, as well as the safety of our construction, and maintenance workers, most of the work zone speed limits will be posted at 55 mph, and will be strictly enforced, by State Police.
As always, remember to wear your seatbelts, and have a safe, and enjoyable trip.
