Ongoing bridge, and pavement repairs in the vicinity of the Exit 16 southbound on-ramp will force the closure of the ramp, due to the lack of an acceleration lane for entering traffic. All traffic seeking to enter I-95 southbound, will be detoured via Memorial Highway to the Memorial Highway southbound entrance ramp.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
And now for some public service announcements The New York City Department of Transportation and NYPD advise people traveling to New York City
between Saturday, September 17th, and Saturday, September 25th, should use mass transit. The 71st
session of the United Nations General Assembly will be in session. As a result, there will be frozen
zones and road closures in midtown, and on the lower and upper eastside of Manhattan that will result in
delays.
