Is the Woodbury Toll Barrier being moved?
The Woodbury Toll Barrier is not being moved. Upgrades to the existing toll barrier have been made to allow for the majority of travelers to more easily pass through the toll barrier using Highway Speed E-ZPass (65 mph).
How will the project be funded?
The project is being funded by the New York State Thruway Authority via toll revenue and the New York State Department of Transportation via Federal funds.
How long will the project take?
The project is slated for overall completion in the Summer of 2010. For more information, please see the project schedule.
Is there an additional interchange included in this project?
No, there is no new interchange included in this project. The project is intended to improve the Woodbury Toll Barrier’s operations and safety, provide operational improvements which will relieve congestion, reduce delays, and improve safety conditions at the Woodbury Toll Plaza.
