THRUWAY AUTHORITY POSTPONES NIGHTTIME LANE CLOSURES FOR FINAL PHASES OF THE TAPPAN ZEE BRIDGE DECK PROJECT
THURSDAY, MARCH 7 AND FRIDAY, MARCH 8
Due to inclement weather, the work on the Tappan Zee Bridge, originally scheduled for the overnight hours of March 7 and March 8 has been postponed, the New York State Thruway announced today.
Traffic updates will be broadcast to motorists via Variable Message Signs along the highway and by Highway Advisory Radio 530 AM in the Tappan Zee Bridge corridor, as well as 1610 AM in the Newburgh area.
