Thruway Authority Repairs Temporary Platforms on Tappan Zee Bridge
The Thruway Authority announced that repairs to the temporary platforms near the main span of the Tappan Zee Bridge will be undertaken tonight. The temporary platforms are in place for the TZB Redecking project, currently in construction. One northbound lane will be closed between 10 p.m., Wednesday evening, November 24, and 5 a.m.,Thursday morning, November 25. Three southbound lanes and three northbound lanes will be opened to traffic during this period.
The Authority will activate its Variable Message Signs, Highway Advisory Radio and issue a TRANSalert to subscribers alerting motorists of the lane closure.
The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this time.
