Public Outreach
While the Authority explores the reconstruction between Interchanges 23
and 24, it will engage in an outreach process to facilitate continuous communication
with the public. The Authority is firm in its commitment that public input
will inform and drive the technical process. The outreach process will include
public meetings and Website updates on a regular basis.
As a result of the April 20 and 21 resident informational meetings, two mailings, and door-to-door visits to the more than 300 residents that would be affected by the 10 proposed noise barriers, as of Monday, June 28, 2010, the Authority has received sufficient input to move forward with the project. Based on input from the impacted residents, 9 of the 10 proposed noise barriers will be constructed as indicated in the spreadsheet.
