THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES EXTENDED LEFT LANE CLOSURE ON I-87 NORTHBOUND BETWEEN EXITS 7 AND 7A IN WHITE PLAINS
Extended Lane Closure Scheduled to Begin Monday Morning, August 15 Through Early December
The Thruway Authority today announced bridge repair work on the Ashford Avenue Bridge that will require the extended closure of the northbound left lane on the New York State Thruway (I-87) between exit 7 (Ardsley – Route 9A) and exit 7A (Saw Mill River Parkway – Taconic State Parkway) in White Plains. Two northbound lanes will remain open while this work is being completed. The work is scheduled to begin, Monday, August 15 at 7 a.m. and will continue through early December.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
The Thruway Authority will activate Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to advise motorists of the closure.
