THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES OVERNIGHT CLOSURE OF EXIT 16 ON-RAMP ON I-95 SOUTHBOUND

Exit 16 On-Ramp Will Be Closed Tonight, Monday, June 27 between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Tomorrow Morning

Southbound Right and Center Lane Closures Expected between 11 p.m. Tonight and 6 a.m. Tomorrow Morning

The Thruway Authority today announced construction work that will require the overnight closure of the I-95 (New England Thruway) exit 16 (New Rochelle-North Ave-Cedar Street) on-ramp tonight, Monday, June 27 between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour routes.

Additionally, motorists can expect southbound right lane and center lane closures tonight between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. tomorrow morning while lanes are shifted into a new configuration for the rehabilitation of the Cedar Street and Cross County Bridges. 

In case of inclement weather, the work may be postponed.

The Thruway Authority will activate Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to advise motorists of the closure.
