THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES OVERNIGHT CLOSURE OF I-95 NEW ENGLAND THRUWAY SOUTHBOUND EXIT 19 RAMP TO PLAYLAND PARKWAY

Work Scheduled for Wednesday, June 22 from 12 a.m. until 5:30 a.m.

The Thruway Authority today announced guiderail repair work that will require the overnight closure of the exit 19 (Rye) ramp from I-95 (New England Thruway) southbound to Playland Parkway. The work is scheduled for tomorrow morning, Wednesday, June 22 beginning at 12 a.m. until 5:30 a.m.

All traffic seeking to exit the New England Thruway via exit 19 should follow the posted detour routes.

All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

The Thruway Authority will activate Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to advise motorists of the closure.

The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience while this essential work is completed.
