THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF NORTHBOUND AND SOUTHBOUND EXIT 6 OFF-RAMPS ON I-87 IN YONKERS
Overnight Work Scheduled for Wednesday, May 11 and Thursday, May 12
The Thruway Authority today announced signal work that will require the overnight closures of both the northbound and southbound exit 6 (Tuckahoe Road) off-ramps on I-87 in Yonkers.
The northbound exit 6 off-ramp will be closed on Wednesday, May 11 at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning, and the southbound exit 6 off-ramp will be closed on Thursday, May 12 at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
All traffic seeking to exit the Thruway via exit 6 should follow the posted detour routes.
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
The Thruway Authority will activate Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to advise motorists of the closure.
