THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES OVERNIGHT CLOSURE OF NORTHBOUND EXIT 6 OFF-RAMP ON I-87 IN YONKERS
Overnight Work Scheduled for Tuesday, April 5
The Thruway Authority today announced signal work that will require the overnight closure of the northbound exit 6 (Tuckahoe Road) off-ramp on I-87 in Yonkers. The work is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5 beginning at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
Motorists seeking to use northbound exit 6 (Tuckahoe Road) will be detoured to exit 6A (Stew Leonard Drive) and brought back onto I-87 in the southbound direction, where they will be able to use southbound exit 6 (Tuckahoe Road).
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
The Authority will activate Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to advise motorists of the closure.The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience while this essential work takes place.
