THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES OVERNIGHT CLOSURES OF NORTHBOUND EXIT 15 OFF-RAMP ON I-87 IN ROCKLAND COUNTY
Continued Work Scheduled between Monday, March 28 and Friday, April 1
The Thruway Authority today announced continued concrete repair work by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) on I-287 in New Jersey that will require several overnight closures of the I-87 northbound exit 15 (NJ I-287/NJ Route 17 South) off-ramp during the upcoming week.
The closures are scheduled for:
- Monday, March 28 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning
- Tuesday, March 29 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning
- Wednesday, March 30 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning
- Thursday, March 31 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning
- Friday, April 1 between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning
Motorists seeking to use exit 15 (NJ I-287/NJ Route 17 South) northbound will be detoured to exit 15A (Sloatsburg) and brought back onto I-87 in the southbound direction, where they will be able to use the southbound exit 15 (NJ I-287/NJ Route 17 South) to enter New Jersey.
This work is weather dependent and is subject to change.
Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM will be activated to advise motorists of the closure.
