THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES OVERNIGHT MAINTENANCE WORK ON I-87 NORTHBOUND EXIT 6 OFF-RAMP
Overnight Exit Ramp Work Scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday
The Thruway Authority today announced maintenance work that will require the overnight closure of the northbound exit 6 (Tuckahoe Road) off-ramp on I-87 on Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Thursday morning, and again on Thursday Jan. 21 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Friday morning.
All traffic seeking to exit the Thruway northbound at exit 6 should follow the posted detour to exit 6A (Stew Leonard Drive).
All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
The Authority will activate Variable Message Signs (VMS) and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) 530 AM to advise motorists of the closure.
