THRUWAY AUTHORITY ANNOUNCES TRAFFIC STOPPAGES AS PART OF AMSTERDAM INTERCHANGE RECONSTRUCTION ON TUESDAY, JULY 15
The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that traffic on I-90 in Amsterdam will experience traffic stoppages on Tuesday, July 15 to allow for the removal of bridge steel as part of the exit 27 (Amsterdam) reconstruction project.
Stoppages will occur intermittently between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. in both directions. Only one direction will be stopped at a time and each direction is expected to experience approximately three stoppages.
Each stoppage is expected to last approximately 15 minutes and based on historical Thruway traffic volume data for this location, delays are expected to be minimal.
In case of inclement weather, the work may be postponed.
The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this necessary work.
