OVERNIGHT WORK WILL CLOSE THRUWAY EXIT 9W ON-RAMP FROM
PALISADES INTERSTATE PARKWAY ON TUESDAY, JULY 8
Work will follow Governor Cuomo's Driver's First Initiative
to minimize traffic disruptions
The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that the northbound exit 9W ramp from the Palisades Interstate Parkway to the Thruway will be closed for overnight guiderail work during the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 8.
The closure will begin at 12 midnight and will last through 5 a.m.
All traffic seeking to enter the northbound Thruway will be detoured to exit 10 and brought back to the Thruway on the southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway.
The project will be completed in accordance with the requirements of the Governor’s Driver’s First Initiative, which prioritizes the convenience of motorists and ensures that disruptions are as minimal as possible for drivers at highway and bridge projects across the state.
In case of inclement weather, the work may be postponed.
Electronic signboards and Highway Advisory Radio 530 AM will advise motorists of the closure.
The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this scheduled work.
