OVERNIGHT CLOSURES PLANNED FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY ON
WESTBOUND ROUTE 198 RAMP TO I-190 SOUTHBOUND
Motorists Should Follow Posted Detours

The New York State Thruway Authority has announced the westbound NY Route 198 Ramp to I-190 southbound in Buffalo will be closed from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Monday May 19 and Tuesday May 20 for ramp joint maintenance.

Motorists traveling west on NY Route 198 will be detoured to northbound I-190 and the Amherst Street off-ramp (exit 12). Motorists looking to continue traveling on I-190 southbound should follow the posted detour route.

This work will be completed in accordance with the requirements of the Governor’s Driver’s First Initiative, which prioritizes the convenience of motorists and ensures that disruptions are as minimal as possible for drivers at highway and bridge projects across the state.

The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this maintenance work.
