PAVEMENT REPAIRS TO BEGIN
AT EXIT 18 TOLL PLAZA IN NEW PALTZ
Project part of Governor Cuomo's Driver's First Initiative
to minimize traffic disruptions
Beginning today, the New York State Thruway Authority will begin pavement repairs at the exit 18 (New Paltz-NY Route 299) toll plaza.
This project will completely resurface the roadway between the toll plaza and NY Route 299. Work will be conducted on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and will involve single lane closures in both the toll plaza and the roadway leading to the plaza. Although not expected, motorists should prepare for the possibility of minor delays.
All work is scheduled for completion during the summer of 2014.
The project will be completed in accordance with the requirements of the Governor’s Driver’s First Initiative, which prioritizes the convenience of motorists and ensures that disruptions are as minimal as possible for drivers at highway and bridge projects across the state.
The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this scheduled maintenance work.
