UPDATE: THRUWAY EMERGENCY POTHOLE REPAIRS
TO OCCUR WEDNESDAY EVENING
The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that the emergency pothole repairs to the northbound roadway immediately north of the Tappan Zee Bridge in Rockland County will now begin after the peak travel period on Wednesday, February 19.
Motorists are warned that hazardous conditions including large potholes and deteriorated pavement persist. They are advised to use slow speed and extra caution while exiting the Tappan Zee Bridge heading northbound.
As a precaution, the speed limit on the northbound direction of the Tappan Zee Bridge has been reduced to 35 mph.
Electronic signboards and the Highway Advisory Radio (530 AM) will update motorists about possible delays.
