THRUWAY BANS TANDEM TRAILERS FROM NEW YORK CITY TO SYRACUSE
Winter weather creating difficult driving conditions

The New York State Thruway Authority has announced a ban on all long tandem trailers on the Thruway in both directions between the New York City line on I-87 and exit 36 (Watertown—Binghamton—I-81) on I-90 due to the current winter weather event.

This ban will remain in place until further notice.

All motorists are encouraged to travel only if necessary and to do so using extreme caution.
