THRUWAY I-87 LANE CLOSURES BETWEEN EXITS 15A AND 16
MONDAY, JULY 15, THROUGH FRIDAY, JULY 19
Traffic stoppages only during overnight hours Tuesday, July 16
The Thruway (I-87) northbound between Exit 15A (Sloatsburg - Suffern) and Exit 16 (Harriman) will have lane closures or experience periodic traffic stoppages for traffic realignment and striping, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.
Northbound motorists can expect daytime and nighttime lane closures from Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19. Brief traffic stoppages will also take place from 12:01 a.m. through 2 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16. Stops are expected to last no more than 10 minutes each.
In case of inclement weather, the work may be postponed.
Electronic signboards and Highway Advisory Radio (530 AM) will update motorists about expected delays.
