THRUWAY ANNOUNCES OVERNIGHT CONCRETE REPLACEMENT
AT WILLIAMSVILLE TOLL PLAZA
Work scheduled to begin Sunday, June 2, and be completed by Wednesday, June 12
The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that the previously scheduled construction project to replace damaged concrete at the Williamsville Toll Plaza will begin on Sunday, June 2 and last until Wednesday, June 12. All work will take place between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Contractors will be replacing concrete pavement slabs each night in lane 2 for both eastbound and westbound travelers. These lanes will remain closed for the duration of the project. Lanes 1 and 3 will be also closed during work hours for safety precautions, but will continue to be open between approximately 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
This construction is expected to have minimal impact on traffic and delays are not foreseen.
The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this required construction and would like to remind all to use caution while traveling through any work zone.
