I-287 PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENTS TO BEGIN TUESDAY, APRIL 16
Project part of Governor Cuomo's Driver's First Initiative
to minimize traffic disruptions
Beginning on Tuesday, April 16, motorists traveling in both directions on I-287 between exit 7 (North White Plains – Central Westchester Parkway North – Taconic State Parkway) and exit 10 (Purchase – Port Chester – NY Routes 120 & 120A – Bowman Avenue – Webb Avenue) will experience delays between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesdays through Thursdays for the next 8 weeks as pavement improvements are implemented.
The project will be in accordance with the requirements of the Governor’s Driver’s First Initiative, which prioritizes the convenience of motorists and ensures that disruptions are as minimal as possible for drivers at highway and bridge projects across the state. Motorists are advised to follow posted detour routes and electronic signboards will provide updates. In case of inclement weather, the work may be postponed.
The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this scheduled maintenance work.
