Begin Wed., Oct. 24 through Dec. 14
BUFFALO -- Temporary overnight lane closures are scheduled on the Niagara Thruway (I-190) for the northbound South Grand Island Bridge beginning Wednesday, October 24, through Friday, December 14, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.
The work is scheduled overnight only, for installation of a new electrical system.
This work is part of a two-year, $14 million rehabilitation project which also includes deck joint repairs and a new driving surface for the southbound South Grand Island Bridge. Bridge deck work is scheduled to begin in spring 2013.
The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this important improvement project.
