Thruway Authority Announces All Lanes Blocked on I-190 Southbound Between Exit 19 and 18B
CORRECTED: Detour Information for Motorists
ALBANY, NY - The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that all lanes are blocked southbound on I-190 (Niagara Thruway) between Exit 19 (Whitehaven Road) and Exit 18B (Beaver Island State Park) due to a serious personal injury accident.
All traffic must exit at Exit 19 (Whitehaven Road) at this time. Upon exiting, motorists should follow Whitehaven Road eastbound to Route 324 (Grand Island Boulevard) southbound and re-enter the Thruway at Exit 18.
Motorists familiar with this area may wish to seek alternate routes to avoid major delays.
The Authority has activated Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) and its Highway Advisory Radio (HAR).
