Temporary Closure of Mill Street Beneath I-87 Bridge
Repair Work begins in Newburgh
NEWBURGH -- Mill Street in Newburgh will be closed due to reconstruction of the Thruway (I-87) bridge which passes overhead, beginning on Wednesday, June 27, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.
The affected section of Mill Street is scheduled to re-open by September, 2012.
Detour signs will be posted to guide motorists around the closure. The reconstruction will not affect traffic on the Thruway (I-87) mainline.
The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this scheduled repair.
