Traffic Alert Update: All Northbound and Southbound Lanes Open on I-87 Between Exit 7 and 8A
The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that all northbound and southbound lanes on I-87 between Exit 7 (Ardsley) and 8A (Sawmill River Parkway) have reopened.
The system was closed in both directions earlier this evening as a precaution due to an overhead bridge issue.
The Authority utilized Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) and Variable Message Signs (VMS) to notify motorists of the closure and detours that were put in place.
The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this incident.
