UPDATE, 12:50 P.M.: Traffic Flowing on I-87 Northbound in Hudson Valley
NEWBURGH – Traffic flow has returned to normal on the New York State Thruway (I-87) between Exit 16 (Harriman) and Exit 18 (New Paltz), the New York State Thruway Authority announced.
There had been delays earlier Friday because of accident near Newburgh. Motorists may continue to experience stop-and-go conditions due to the usual summer weekend traffic volume.
The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this time.
