Parking Limited at Modena Travel Plaza on I-87
Pavement Repairs Begin Tuesday, June 19
NEW PALTZ -- Due to required pavement repairs, there will be reduced parking spaces at the Modena Travel Plaza on I-87 southbound beginning Tuesday, June 19, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.
The parking area will be rebuilt in stages over a two-week period, between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily, weather permitting. This will result in a decrease in parking spaces during this construction. All parking spaces will be available weekends, when paving activities are suspended.
The Modena Travel Plaza is located on I-87 southbound at milepost 66 between Exit 17 (Newburgh, I-84) and Exit 18 (New Paltz).
Motorists are advised to monitor electronic signboards posted along the roadway.
The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this scheduled repair.
