Temporary Traffic Stops on I-87 Exit 17 Ramps
Night Work Slated for Tuesday and Wednesday
NEWBURGH - Motorists traveling on the New York State Thruway (I-87) northbound and southbound in Orange County may encounter delays on the nights of June 19, and June 20, due to scheduled bridge repairs, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.
The construction activity will take place on the Exit 17 (Newburgh) bridge over I-87 on June 19 and June 20 between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. Motorists can expect delays to and from the Newburgh tolls along the Exit 17 ramps. Thruway Authority personnel will be flagging and directing traffic during this period.
Electronic message boards and the Highway Advisory Radio (1610 AM) will update motorists about expected delays.
