Angola Travel Plaza Adds Five New Restaurants, Completes All Major Renovations

ANGOLA- Restaurant choices have expanded for hungry travelers at the Angola Travel Plaza with the completion of five new dining options including Moe’s Southwest Grille, Carvel, Subway, Auntie Anne’s, and Cinnabon, the New York State Thruway Authority announced today.

The new food choices became possible after a major interior renovation project that included the demolition of a former Denny’s restaurant. Furthermore, a complete upgrade of the travel plaza facility included replacing the building’s plumbing, electrical service, and HVAC units.

In addition to the new restaurants, customers may still choose to purchase food and beverages from McDonald's, LavAzza, Sandella's, Ella's Pizza, and the Snack Bar.

Opened originally on August 2, 1966, the Angola Travel Plaza became the third travel plaza on the Thruway. Today, with 27 Travel Plazas along the superhighway, Angola is one of two plazas accessible from both directions of the Thruway.

The Angola Travel Plaza is located at milepost 447, on I-90 eastbound, between Exit 57A (Eden, Angola) and Exit 58 (Silver Creek, Irving, NY Route 438).
