Fuel Service Temporarily Suspended at Ulster Travel Plaza on I-87
Restaurant and Restroom Services Remain Available
Fuel service will be temporarily suspended at the Ulster Travel Plaza on the Thruway (I-87) southbound beginning at 8 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2012, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.
Following routine line testing, fuel services are expected to be restored later in the morning on the same day.
Restroom and restaurant services at the Ulster Travel Plaza remain available during the line testing process.
The Ulster Travel Plaza is located at milepost 96 on I-87 southbound between Exit 20 (Saugerties) and Exit 19 (Kingston).
Southbound travelers in need of fuel services are advised to stop at the New Baltimore Travel Plaza at milepost 127, located between 21A (Berkshire Spur) and Exit 21B (Coxsackie). The New Baltimore Travel Plaza is located about 31 miles north of the Ulster Travel Plaza.
Additionally, fuel services are available at the Modena Travel Plaza, about 30 miles south of the Ulster Travel Plaza. The Modena Travel Plaza is located at milepost 66 between Exit 18 (New Paltz) and Exit 17 (Newburgh).
Motorists are advised to monitor the electronic signs posted along the roadway for updates.
