Thruway Authority Announces Westbound Driving Lane Closure Near Utica Due to Tractor-Trailer Accident
A rolled over tractor-trailer, just west of Utica Interchange 31 on I-90, could cause minor to moderate delays for westbound motorists this morning, Thursday, April 12, 2012, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.
The rollover occurred in the right driving lane at milepost 236.6, which is approximately four miles west of Interchange 31. The lane is expected to be closed throughout the morning. Sometime between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., a series of traffic stoppages will be utilized to upright the tractor-trailer. Each stoppage could cause minor to moderate delays of up to 10 minutes for westbound motorists.
The Thruway Authority will use Highway Advisory Radio and TRANSalerts to subscribers to inform them of the incident and any delays that may result from it.
