Temporary Traffic Stops on I-87 North and Southbound
Night Work on New Signs in RocklandCounty
Motorists on the Thruway (I-87) northbound and southbound in Rockland County may encounter temporary lane closures on the nights of April 12, and April 13, 2012, during the nighttime installation of new signs, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.
The construction activity will take place between Exit 13 (Palisades Interstate Parkway) and Exit 14 (Spring Valley, Route 59) on April 12 and April 13 between 12 a.m. and 4 a.m.
The sign installation will necessitate multiple traffic stops. The traffic stops are scheduled to last no more than 20 minutes each.
Electronic signboards will update motorists about expected delays.
The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this scheduled event.
