Restaurant and Restroom Services Remain Available

Fuel service is temporarily suspended at the Sloatsburg Travel Plaza on I-87 northbound beginning at 9 a.m. today, March 20, 2012, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.

Following routine fuel testing, fuel services are expected to be restored later in the morning on the same day.

Restroom and restaurant services at the Sloatsburg Travel Plaza remain available during the fuel testing process.

The Sloatsburg Travel Plaza is located at milepost 33, on I-87 northbound, just beyond Exit 15A (Sloatsburg).

Northbound motorists in need of fuel are advised to stop at the next available travel plaza, Plattekill, at milepost 65, approximately 32 miles north of the Sloatsburg Travel Plaza between Exit 17 (Newburgh) and Exit 18 (New Paltz). Northbound motorists may also stop at the Ardsley Travel Plaza at milepost 6, approximately 27 miles before the Sloatsburg Travel Plaza.

Motorists are advised to monitor the electronic signs posted along the roadway for updates.

The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this routine testing.
