Temporary Traffic Stops on I-87 Northbound
Night Work on New Signs in Rockland County
Motorists on I-87 northbound in Rockland County may encounter temporary lane closures on the night of March 14-15, 2012, during the nighttime installation of new signs, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.
The construction activity will be between the Sloatsburg Travel Plaza (milepost 33) and the Woodbury Toll Barrier (milepost 45).
The installation of the signs and the supporting structures will take place between Wednesday, March 14, at 9 p.m. and Thursday, March 15, at 6 a.m.
The sign installation will necessitate multiple traffic stops. The traffic stops are scheduled to last no more than 20 minutes each.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to monitor electronic signs for updates.
