UPDATE, 4:40 p.m.: Traffic Moving on I-87 Southbound
Slow Traffic Cleared from Exit 18 to Exit 17
Earlier delays on I-87 southbound between Exit 18 (New Paltz) and Exit 17 (Newburgh, I-84) have been cleared, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.
Vehicles in an accident moved to the shoulder and heavy volume at the end of the holiday weekend had contributed to the delays.
The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during these traffic delays.
