Tappan Zee Bridge Repairs To Continue
Off-Peak Bridge Repairs, Maintenance Scheduled Monday - Friday

Routine repairs on the Tappan Zee Bridge will continue on Monday, January 30, through Friday, February 3, during off-peak travel times, weather permitting, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.

In an effort to provide the best possible customer service to New York’s travelers and commuters, the Thruway Authority will continue to schedule repairs during off-peak travel times, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and overnight when possible.

The length of each closure varies throughout the day, but rarely extends more than one-tenth of a mile past the end of the bridge.

Next week’s tentative lane closure schedule below is subject to change depending on other maintenance needs that may arise, traffic patterns and inclement weather.

  • Monday, January 30: One right lane northbound, Lane 1, closed for bridge maintenance beginning at milepost 13.1 to 16.2, between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Tuesday, January 31: One right lane northbound, Lane 1, closed for bridge maintenance beginning at milepost 13.1 to 16.2, between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 1: One right lane southbound, Lane 7, closed for bridge maintenance beginning at milepost 16.2 to 13.1, between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 2: One right lane southbound, Lane 7, closed for bridge maintenance beginning at milepost 16.2 to 13.1, between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • Friday, February 3: One right lane southbound, Lane 7, closed for bridge maintenance beginning at milepost 15.0 to 13.1, between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
