Thruway Authority Announces WB Rolling Road Block For Syracuse Area Reconstruction Project To Take Place This Afternoon
The New York State Thruway Authority today announced that a westbound rolling road block scheduled to take place this morning from Interchange 38 (Liverpool/Route 57) to just past Interchange 39 (Syracuse-Fulton-I-690), now will occur this afternoon, Thursday, March 18, 2010.
The rolling road block will take place in both westbound lanes from milepost 286 to 294, while construction personnel prepare pavement for a traffic shift that is slated to take place next week. The rolling road block should last less than 20 minutes and could cause minor to moderate delays, particularly during afternoon rush hour. Motorists may want to seek alternate routes.
Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) will be in place to alert motorists of the work and any delays associated with it.
Motorists are encouraged to remain alert and aware of their surroundings while traveling through both areas.
The Authority appreciates motorists’ patience during this necessary project.
