Thruway Authority Announces Multi-Vehicle Accident Near Interchange 48A (Pembroke)
All Eastbound Traffic Being Diverted

The New York State Thruway Authority has announced that a multi-vehicle accident at milepost 401.7 has resulted in the closure of all eastbound lanes. Traffic is currently being diverted off at Interchange 48A Pembroke.

State police, Authority maintenance and the fire department are on the scene at this time.

Eastbound lanes will be reopened as soon as conditions safely permit.

The Authority has activated a Dynamic Message Board, Highway Advisory Radio and issued a TRANSalert to subscribers to notify them of the incident and resulting delays.

The Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this time.
